Most missed short putts come down to a face that's slightly open or closed at impact, or a strike off the heel or toe. These magnetic alignment rods clip onto your putter so you can see exactly where the face is aimed and where your stroke is travelling. Use them on the practice green or the carpet at home to check your set-up and groove a square, centred strike.
How to use
- Snap the rods onto your putter head – the magnetic bases hold them in place, no tools needed. Check that a magnet sticks to your putter before you start.
- Point a rod along your target line to check the face is square at address and through the stroke.
- Attach one rod at the heel and one at the toe to make a gate, then roll putts that pass cleanly between them.
- Remove the top section for a shorter rod, or use the base on its own, to change how challenging the drill is.
